Alzheimer Society Alberta and Northwest Territories: Offices are closed
COVID-19 UPDATE MARCH 23, 2020
Our offices are closed to the public and all staff are working remotely to provide support to individuals living with dementia and their care partners during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Our staff is doing their best to stay connected with families needing support through our First Link® referral program. Although all in-person programming is cancelled, our staff has found alternative ways to offer some of our support groups through telephone or video conferencing.
We also encourage you to reach out to us by telephone if you have questions or are needing support. Our toll-free number is 1-866-950-5465.
The ASANTCafe.ca is a great online resource. Please check out our Education programs such as the Seeds of Hope Family Learning series, our discussion forum – Dementia Talk, or any of our archived video sessions on a variety of dementia related topics.
Staying connected is very important. Social isolation can be very difficult for everyone, especially people living with dementia. If you are able, consider reaching out to a neighbor, friend or relative, who may be isolated. Simple actions such as a phone call, or an offer to pick up a few groceries, can make a big difference.
